X-RAY
Our clinic has its own contemporary x-ray facilities for both taking and processing films. Our doctors are fully qualified in reading and evaluating x-rays, and by taking the films ourselves, we can get the exact views required for each individual case to look for misalignments, subluxations, or distortions of the spinal column.

Chiropractic Techniques
Many people do not realize that there are many techniques available. Brantford Chiropractic Associates offers a more traditional technique utilizing high velocity, low amplitude thrusts to the spinal joints. This Diversified technique:
- Is safe and effective
- Achieves enhanced neurological function through correction of spinal subluxations

Diversified Technique
A more traditional chiropractic adjusting technique utilizing a high velocity, low amplitude thrust. As this force is imparted to the joint, it will generally result in a sound called a cavitation, which is simply a release of gas from the fluid within that joint.
Orthotics
Brantford Chiropractic Associates offer custom-casted and digitally scnanned Spinal Pelvis Stabilizers (orthotics).
A stabilizer is an insert placed in your shoe to help balance your posture and keep you in alignment. Foot Levelers, which is the company we are associated with, make custom-made Spinal Pelvis Stabilizers crafted to meet the needs of each individual. This is done by first making an impression of the foot called a cast and/or a digital scan. The impressions in the cast duplicate any misalignments in the foot.
- They absorb shock while keeping your body in alignment – meaning your body will hold chiropractic adjustments longer and will gradually regain the ability to keep a healthy posture.
- Most Health Care Plans will cover the cast of orthotics
Dr. Steve Barker will be happy to assist you with orthotics. Click the image to see Dr. Barker explain our orthotics service.
Massage Therapy
Massage is one of the oldest, simplest forms of therapy and is a system of stroking, pressing and kneading different areas of the body to relieve pain, relax, stimulate, and tone the body. Massage does much more than create a pleasant sensation on the skin, it also works on the soft tissues (the muscles, tendons, and ligaments) to improve muscle tone. Although it largely affects those muscles just under the skin, its benefits also reach the deeper layers of muscle and even the organs themselves. Massage also stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system (which runs parallel to the circulatory system), improving the elimination of waste throughout the body.
